come as you are, camden peoples theatre touring festival, 2018

I made friends for life producing this touring festival. Lucky me. I was brought on board by CPT after the bulk of it was programmed, though not the local artists who took part in the scratch performances in each venue across England. Led by Milk Presents and their incredible show about trans masculinity, Bullish, the festival took two shows to each venue, staged conversations and forums with local activists and charities leading on trans and gender Queer support and advocacy, and opened up a space for local artists to show new work. I worked with some incredible people and companies and learned a huge amount about advocacy and allyship and how to put myself between my colleagues and bigotry because as a cis person I could, because it is the least we can do.
